Congratulations to all our Years 6 & 8 pupils on their senior school results, pupils have worked hard to gain places at 21 different independent senior and grammar schools.
It is always gratifying to watch pupils' diligence pay off and we are especially proud that this year 44% of our Years 6 and 8 leavers have gained scholarships or awards. In total, 34 pupils have been awarded an impressive 56 scholarships from Ardingly College (1), Blundells School (1), Box Hill School (3), Caterham School (10), Croydon High School (1), Dunottar School (6), Hurstpierpoint College (1), Lingfield College (2), Reigate Grammar School (14), Seaford College (1), Sevenoaks School (1), St Teresa's Effingham (1), Tonbridge School (1) and Woldingham School (1) in the following subjects: All-round (3), Art (12), Dance (3), Drama (1), Music (2), Performing Arts (3) and Sport (15).
Staying at a prep school until thirteen gives children time to grow and mature through those daunting pre-teen years, in a nurturing environment in which they're comfortable and known. Responsibility and the privilege of seniority build self-confidence and in small class sizes each child's strengths develop and flourish. We are absolutely delighted that this is recognised with a staggering 61% our Year 8 being awarded scholarships. We are a non-selective school and that 30% are leaving with academic scholarships reflects not only the pupils' hard work but our broad and balanced curriculum as well as the dedication of our teachers.
These results are the culmination of a huge amount of work for each child, and we congratulate all on their outstanding achievements.
