Drama
Drama aims to foster a love of performance in all forms, to inspire the children in a creative environment. Thinking something does not make it true. Wanting something does not make it real. Enjoying something makes it worthwhile!
Drama can help children learn about emotions, problem solving, and relating to other people. Through their experiences with drama, children develop their imaginations and their confidence. One of the most special things about creative drama is that there are no "wrong" answers.
There is a strong tradition of drama at The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ. In the Nursery through to Year 2 drama is an integral part of the curriculum, with role-play being an important element in Topic work. We prepare several productions and each child from Year 2 to Year 8 has a drama lesson once a week. Throughout the year children of all ages are given the opportunity to perform. Our aim is for every child to enjoy taking part.
