Congratulations to Samuel Johns (OH 2003) for winning the OHA Cup in 2021. You can read more here about how he has been working to develop the Plastics program within the Partnership for Sustainable Development in Nepal, co-creating a local partnership of PET plastic waste recycling and upcycling, in conjunction with the local mountain communities in Rasuw, Langtang National Park. This program not only collects 40,000 PET plastic bottles from the mountainside monthly but also creates employment and a source of income for 500 families living there. The plastic waste is recycled and creatively upcycled for educational purposes, promoting environmental protection.
