Science

At The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ, we want every child to become excited and engaged in learning about science. We see science as an essential part of understanding the world around us. We want to allow our pupils to develop their knowledge of the natural world, hone their experimental skills in the chemistry lab, and carry out investigations into physics topics such as forces, electric circuits and sound.

This interest is encouraged by our experienced and enthusiastic teaching staff. We have two modern Science labs which our older pupils come to for specialist teaching. Our younger pupils also have their own Lower School science room which allows them to carry out experiments in a well-equipped space.

A regular programme of trips and activities enhance the classroom learning and allow the pupils to see how Science fits into the real world.

With a recognised shortage of scientists in the world today, we hope that by ‘lighting the spark’ as early as possible, maybe one day ºìÐÓÊÓƵ pupils will go on to become doctors, astronomers, zoologists, engineers, chemists or maybe even science teachers!
