The highest levels of Pastoral Care lie at the heart of The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’ community. Guided by our motto ‘Love God, Love thy Neighbour’, we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment in which each individual girl and boy feels happy and valued, and develops a progressively fuller understanding of  themselves and others.    

We follow a wholly inclusive approach, with all staff embracing the fact that in partnership with parents and carers, we have a direct responsibility for the well-being of the children entrusted to our care. More specifically, our dedicated and experienced pastoral and welfare teams provide specialist support at all levels, from Early Years through to Year 8.

Expectations of positive behaviour, including good manners and friendship, and of learning from challenges and mistakes as much as from successes, are made clear and reinforced from the earliest age. A wealth of opportunities and experiences exists both inside and outside the classroom to enable ºìÐÓÊÓƵ children to develop in these ways: opportunities and experiences such as participating in a teamwork day; being a member of one of our House ‘families’, within which older pupils take responsibility for younger ones; showing prospective parents around the School; discussing citizenship within a PHSEE lesson; having the chance to lead as one of our a variety of School Officers. 

By the time children are ready to leave us, they have gained from having had the time, space and caring support to grow into independent, healthy and confident individuals with a clear sense of right and wrong, and of their future place in the world around them.
