On Tuesday 13th September three pupils from Years 3, 4 and 6 competed in the regional semi-finals of the Junior Language Challenge. Having already fought off over 1000 children from external schools to reach the semi-finals, the pupils competed against 27 semi-finalists for a place in the coveted final.

Our exceptional pupils spent their Summer holidays learning Korean for the semi-final and performed magnificently in their heats with all three going through to the final round in a very exciting, close-fought competition, placing 8th, 4th and 2nd. These fantastic results have placed two of our pupils in the final which is due to take place at the Languages Show, Olympia on 14th October. This gives them just under one month to learn Swahili!
