The Surrey Cup delivered two unforgettable performances recently, as both our Girls U13 and U11 teams battled their way to thrilling victories.

Asked to bat first after losing the toss, the U13s made a confident start, reaching 68–4 before the game turned on its head. A sudden collapse left them reeling at 71–9, but a determined final-wicket partnership pushed the total to a defendable 79 all out.

What followed was a masterclass in discipline and teamwork. Knowing they had to be near perfect in the field, the girls delivered exactly that, sharp fielding, accurate bowling, and unwavering belief. They held their nerve to secure a 15-run victory, sparking huge celebrations. A brilliant display of resilience and unity from start to finish.

The U11s match was every bit as dramatic. Chasing 102 from 16 overs, the girls showed composure beyond their years as the game went right down to the final ball. With three runs needed to win, they kept their cool, scampered through for the required runs after an overthrow, and sealed the match in spectacular fashion.

The pitch erupted with cheers as the team celebrated a hard-earned and unforgettable win.
