A group of dedicated Year 7 pupils gave up their breaktimes during the Autumn term to create and sell beautiful Christmas crafts, raising money for festive hampers to thank staff at East Surrey Hospital for their incredible work.

Their efforts didn't go unnoticed. During the Christmas holidays, the pupils were invited to the hospital for a special tour where they met the staff who received their thoughtful gifts and saw firsthand the remarkable care being provided on the paediatric wards. The visit offered an inspiring glimpse into the hospital's daily work and exciting plans for the future. The children were thrilled to see the Tilgate Respiratory ward's Christmas tree decorated with their handmade crafts.
The initiative brought genuine joy to hardworking NHS staff during the festive season, and the pupils are already buzzing with ideas for their next project. Watch this space!
