Year 4 Enjoy an Action-Packed Adventure at PGL Windmill Hill

Thu 30 Apr 2026

Year 4 pupils enjoyed an unforgettable residential visit to PGL Windmill Hill this week. Although it was just an overnight stay, the trip provided a wonderful opportunity for children to develop independence, confidence, and resilience while experiencing time away from home.

From the moment they arrived, the group were fully immersed in a busy two-day programme designed to build teamwork and encourage pupils to challenge themselves.

Activities included:

Abseiling and climbing, where pupils pushed themselves to new heights and celebrated each achievement.

Aeroball, which quickly became a favourite thanks to its energetic and competitive fun.

Exo-Explorer, encouraging navigation, problem-solving, and collaboration.

All Aboard, a balance and teamwork challenge that required steady nerves.

Tree-hugging investigations, helping pupils discover which trees were the oldest on site.

As evening arrived, the excitement continued with lively PGL games that brought everyone together before bedtime.

This residential was a fantastic experience for our Year 4 pupils. They returned with new memories, strengthened friendships, and a real sense of pride in what they achieved.
