Four Year 5 pupils from The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ brought home first place at the Worth School Maths Challenge on Tuesday, a brilliant result that crowned a day of sharp thinking, teamwork, and no small amount of mental arithmetic.

Competing against seven other local prep schools, our pupils tackled a series of UK Maths Trust activities designed to test both speed and strategy: a fast-paced shuttle challenge, collaborative group tasks, and a nail-biting countdown round. They rose to every challenge, performing with impressive composure throughout.

The UK Maths Trust is the leading charity dedicated to advancing mathematical education for young people, and has been inspiring a love of problem-solving for over 20 years through competitions and enrichment activities delivered by hundreds of dedicated volunteers.

To finish first overall is an outstanding achievement, and a testament to the hard work, determination, and collaborative spirit our pupils brought to the day. A huge well done to all four; you represented the school brilliantly.
