Swim squad relay teams were awarded Gold and Silver regional medals in the English Schools’ Swimming Association South East Primary Schools Team Championships for Girls’ Mixed Stroke and Girls’ Freestyle Relays.
In June the girls travelled to Sheffield to compete amongst the fastest 22 primary school teams from across the country in the ESSA Primary Schools’ Team National Championships. Competition was fierce and the girls were delighted to be placed in the top ten primary schools in both events, reaching 8th in the Mixed Stroke Relay and 10th in the Freestyle Relay.
“The enthusiasm and commitment the girls have shown has been incredible, getting up early twice a week for several years to train before school." said Mrs Leed, Head of Swimming. "The girls showed real resilience, coming straight from their week long Year 6 Residential trip and holding their nerve to swim so well on such a big occasion, they should be incredibly proud of their achievements.”

Headmaster, Adrian Floyd commented, “I am delighted with all of the swimmers’ performances on the day and to qualify first and second in the South East of England is a real achievement. My hearty congratulations go to Coco Coleman, Ines Floyd, Isla Morrison, Izabella Nsofor and Maisie Powell.”
