Pupils celebrate Roald Dahl during their annual Book Week

Last week pupils in our Pre-Prep celebrated Roald Dahl during their annual Book Week.
The week started with an assembly introducing Roald Dahl’s books and giving the children an insight into his life. In the classroom the children talked about the different characters, listened to his stories and wrote their own versions.
Pupils took part in competitions throughout the week which included designing their own sweet for Willy Wonka’s factory, drawing their favourite Roald Dahl character and designing their own potion for George’s Marvellous Medicine.
The week was rounded off with a fabulous fancy dress parade. We had wonderful Willy Wonkas, fantastic Mr Foxes, exciting Enormous Crocodiles and a multitude of Matildas. A huge thank you to everyone who helped to create such amazing costumes - a great week was definitely had by all!
