As part of our Spring celebrations, Nursery children at The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ were treated to a very special surprise this week with a visit from two beautiful lambs, Jelly Bean and Dolly Mixture, from a nearby farm.
The visit was met with great excitement, as children got the chance to get up close and personal with the adorable pair. Stroking the lambs, children practised describing what they could see and feel, developing their language and communication skills in the most natural and memorable of ways.
The children also learnt the importance of being calm and quiet around animals, showing wonderful sensitivity and self-awareness. Their curiosity was sparked further as they discovered what lambs eat, and found out that these two fluffy visitors can sometimes be rather cheeky!
The visit was a wonderful example of the rich, real-world learning experiences that bring the curriculum to life at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Nursery, where childhood curiosity is always celebrated.
