The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Nursery celebrates its first birthday!

Wed 04 Dec 2024

Today, we celebrated one whole year of provision for under twos at The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Nursery, with delicious homemade birthday cake available for families to take home.

Nursery Manager, Angela Gallagher, commented, "Our team of Nursery practitioners are fantastic, the children in their care feel secure, are loved and are thriving as a result. What really sets our Nursery provision apart is the ability to use the School's specialist teachers and facilities. Children love playing in the 35 acres of grounds, going to the Woodland Classroom for their Forest School sessions, the Sports Centre for Dance lessons and their Music lessons, led by the Lower School Music Teacher, are always a firm favourite. We are also lucky to be able to visit the animals on the small farm next door, which the children thoroughly enjoy, and many of the older children in the School come and play with our Nursery children during their breaktimes, creating a real family-feel."

Headmaster, Adrian Floyd, remarked, "As a School, we look to provide the support needed for modern families to carry on with their busy lives safe in the knowledge that their children are happy and thriving. Our Nursery staff are committed to providing a caring and stimulating environment where curiosity is keenly encouraged, with access to activities and learning that will enable them to develop their personality and character whilst growing intellectually and emotionally - as well as physically! Our Nursery children develop to be resilient, creative, independent and confident learners who progress seamlessly through to more formal schooling in our Reception classes."

We are delighted that the Nursery is an overwhelming success, and whilst there are the odd sessions available now, more places will become available from May 2025. If you are interested in joining our Nursery, please get in touch with our Registrar, Debbie Kingerlee on admissions@hawthorns.com.
