Around the world today, more than 663 million people live without access to safe drinking water, while at least 2.4 billion still lack access to adequate sanitation facilities. That’s one in three people! For those deprived of these basic human rights, every drink makes them vulnerable to infectious diseases like cholera, typhoid and dysentery.
At ºìÐÓÊÓƵ, we believe that WE are the generation who can act now to bring clean water to every person on our planet. Around the world on 27th April 2018, the WE Movement will be challenging students to complete a sponsored walk in their school with the aim of providing clean water to 50,000 people for life! All Pre-Prep students will walk with their older school “siblings” in Years 7 and 8 around the school field carrying a vessel containing water of a weight proportional to their age.
The children will attempt to raise money from their endeavours by appealing to family and friends and we have set up a Virgin Money Giving page where you can also gift aid .
Pledge to donate and help us to reach our target of £750.00 (which will provide water for 50 people). We will close the fundraising page on Friday 11th May 2018 and donate our raised funds to the WE Villages initiative which supports water provision in India, Africa and South America.
WE hope that you can help!
