ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Year 5 Art Scholars enjoyed a fantastic Art Masterclass Day at Epsom College this week, joining pupils from visiting schools for a day of creativity and collaboration. The experience provided another valuable opportunity for pupils to experiment with techniques, collaborate with other young artists and let their imaginations run wild, while further developing the skills and confidence that can help lead to scholarship success.

Throughout the day, pupils explored a wide range of exciting techniques, including cyanotype printing, monoprinting, shadow puppetry and pottery. Inspired by the natural world, they created striking blue-and-white cyanotypes, experimented with patterns and textures in their monoprints, and designed and performed their own shadow-puppet stories.

In the pottery studio, they worked with clay to create seasonal and nature-inspired pieces, including flowers and bees, showcasing both their creativity and craftsmanship.

Opportunities like this are part of ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’ commitment to nurturing pupils’ individual talents and helping them achieve their excellence. In 2026, 61% of our leavers gained a senior school scholarship, recognising their achievements across a broad range of disciplines.
