Year 6 Pupil Comes Second in the National Junior Language Challenge

Tue 20 Nov 2018

Congratulations to Riya, one of our Year 6 pupils, who came an incredible second in the national Junior Language Challenge out of over 2,000 children.

Riya learnt a different language for each of the three rounds including Spanish, Khmer and Kinyarwanda for the final.  It was an extremely exciting morning; Riya put on a spectacular performance and was in first position for most of the competition, finally coming in second only just behind the winner.  We are so proud of your achievement, Riya.

The Junior Language Challenge is an annual competition for primary school children across the UK.  It aims to introduce children to new languages and make learning them fun.  All money raised from registration fees goes to the charity onebillion which works to educated children in developing countries.
